I was completely mesmerized by the view from our room, totally in awe with the beauty of Sun Moon Lake.  5 families crossed with the same interest of traveling and exploring nature for our kids joined and took the High Speed Rail to Taichung.  We visited the famous paper dome and had a local Hakka lunch before we headed to the hotel in Sun Moon Lake. The weather was hot so we hurried to the hotel to cool off, we stayed at the 5 star Wen Wan Resort which was the former Chiang Kai Shek guesthouse, it embraces the panoramic view of the Lake, spectacular!

We got up early the following morning to take the hotel car to the lake side to catch the boat which could take us to the cable car going up to the Formosa Aboriginal Culture Village. This was the highlight of the trip since my girls are crazy about Aboriginal culture and we were lucky to finally found their costume for sale for the girls to put on.

This trip was very short but fun to explore the area, all of us enjoyed the trip very much despite that we missed our HSR coming back to Taipei.

We are going back very soon!
