Gubbio is small and easy to explore and we found it one of the most charming little towns in Umbria/Tuscany area, our favorite one in fact! This medieval gem is tucked in the mountainous corner as it is said that “while most of Umbria feels soft and rounded, Gubbio is angular, sober and imposing”, this says it all about Gubbio. Its perched on the slopes of Monte Ingino so the streets are extremely steep especially for toddlers but it is a very adorable town to leisurely stroll around, I recall our delicious lunch at a very nice hotel restaurant, Bosone Garden!
Assisi is the spiritual town of Umbria because its one of the most important pilgrimage sites and home of the Basilica build to honor Saint Francis!
Perugia is the capital of Umbria, the largest and richest city among Umbria.
