Orvieto sits on a cliff rising 1000 feet above the valley and is one of the oldest cities in the region. The cathedral, often called the gold lily is a stunning blend of Romanesque and Gothic in style. Kiddies enjoyed running around the piazza outside duomo, chasing the pigeons, enjoying the sunshine!

Spoleto is known as a sleepy relaxed town despite the 3 weeks when the live arts festival takes place every summer. It is a walled city sitting on a slanted hill and composed of narrow and winding streets.

Spello is a charming little town with arched stone walkways and narrow steep streets filled with booming flowers often overlooked by tourists! It was the very first town we visited upon our arrival at Umbria, we went quite early in the morning and it was quiet and peaceful.
