Cilipi is about 22 km from Dubrovnik. We spent a Sunday morning in Cilipi which is one of the most traditional villages in the Konavle valley, well known for its rural landscape, elegant costumes and famous embroidery.

We got to visit the wine cellar, try the herbal wine, visit their handcrafts, strolled through multiple stands on this Sunday fair where we found some beautiful embroidery as souvenirs.

The highlight of course is to see the village people in their traditional folk costume.

We watch the folklore group performed various songs and dances, they are so rich in maintaining their very own culture and tradition. You may also attend their Sunday  mass at the beautiful St. Nicholas church.
